After a wonderful nature and friend filled month in Maine, we are officially starting our venture south back along the East Coast. The first leg of the trip is a ~2 day 200 mile straight shot down to Hyannis, MA on the south side of Cape Cod to visit the Rasmussens. We have a pretty good weather window so we are hoping to make it all in one go but if needed we'll make a pit stop in Provincetown. A short(ish) recap of an eventful and restful time arriving to Boston and the surrounding area. The Passage North The passage itself was exhilarating but tiring. Sailing (almost) nonstop for 4 days will definitely take it out of you. Having had the experience of doing a passage with Lisa and Andy from Kinetic Sailing when moving the boat up from Georgia to Delaware certainly helped set expectations and made us much more prepared, but 2 vs 4 people makes a load of difference.

5 days and almost 400 nautical miles later we successfully made it to Boston!! Other than a bit of stormy turbulence night one (leading to a temporary diversion into Atlantic City) the trip was relatively smooth. With the last of this weekend’s cold front having passed through, we’ve weighed anchor and have started to head north up the east coast.
